E-Icons gives you the opportunity to assign a custom icon to any folder, any drive and any registered file type..

Change Any Folder Icon : You can use this feature by clicking on "Change Any Folder Icon" from the "Change Any..." menu. When you use this option, you have to select the folder you want to customise, and after you selected it, the icon associated to the selected folder will be shown; you can change the folder icon just like in the "Change Icons" tab. Use "Default" to remove customisation from folder. Click on "OK" to apply.
You can change any folder icon, also by installing a context menu extension ("Install Change Any Folder Icon Extension" from the "Change Any..." menu). After you installed it just right click on folders and select from the context menu "Change Folder Icon".

Change Any Drive Icon : You can use this feature by clicking on "Change Any Drive Icon" from the "Change Any..." menu. When you use this option, you have to select the drive you want to customise, and after you selected it, the icon associated will be shown; you can change the icon just like in the "Change Icons" tab. Use "Default" to remove customisation. Click on "OK" to apply.

Change Any File Type Icon : You can use this feature by clicking on "Change Any File type Icon" from the "Change Any..." menu. When you use this option, you have to type the file extension you want to customise (ex. gif), and after you click on "OK", the icon associated will be shown; you can change the icon just like in the "Change Icons" tab. You can see also the "Set at %1" button: when you set the icon for a file type at "%1", the icon in Explorer for that file type will be the first stored in the file (if the file contains no icon, the default icon will be shown). Usually .exe , .ico files have their icon set at "%1". You can also set the icon for .bmp files at "%1" so Explorer will show thumbnails of  .bmp files.

Note: When using "Change Any File Type Icon", you cannot restore default icons.
